About This Course

ACADEMI’s Handgun I course provides a solid foundation of defensive pistol shooting skills. Designed for shooters with little to no previous experience with the handgun, this course covers gun safety, the combat mindset, marksmanship fundamentals, and core pistol manipulative skills to include the draw, reloads, malfunction clearance, use of cover/concealment and low light shooting. Our time proven instructional techniques combine class room instruction with intensive practical live fire application to provide a highly effective learning experience.
