About This Course

This 3 day intensive Street Officer Survival course engages law-enforcement officers in realistic scenarios designed to enhance the decision-making and physical skills required during unforeseen violent encounters. Each scenario is a replication of a real life-threatening incident encountered in the line of duty. The course focuses on the fundamentals of shooting, tactical pistol and carbine/patrol rifle skills and aims to teach student how to prepare for, survive and succeed in lethal encounters.

Our Street Officer Survival Course involves classroom theory and extensive range time, including force-on-force scenarios using Simunition® FX® firearms.

  • • Tactical decision making • Target identification drills under extreme conditions (shoot/no shoot) • Tactical use of cover and concealment • Engaging multiple targets and moving targets • Reactive steel challenge on Rogers range • Ground fighting with a pistol • Counter-ambush drills on-foot and in-vehicle • Carbine/Pistol Transitions • Medium shoot (officers are encouraged to bring duty ammo for the shoot) • Running gunman stress courses (live fire and FX®) • Operating and shooting in low- to no-light environments • Open-air rescues in an urban environment • Immediate action and rapid deployment (to active shooter) • Patrol-based room entry • Open-air rescues in an urban environment
  • Gear
  • •Duty gear including soft body armor if issued •Duty handgun •Holster •Minimum three high-capacity (15 round) handgun magazines or six low-capacity (7-8 round) handgun magazines •Magazine holders for both pistol and carbine/rifle •Belt •Carbine rifle in 5.56mm with iron sights and/or optics (weapon must be zeroed before arrival) •Sling •Three magazines for the carbine •Flashlight (weapon mounted and detached preferred, detached ok) •Clear wraparound ballistic eye protection •Ear protection •Cleaning kit for both firearms •Rain gear •Clothing appropriate for climate and conditions •Water bottle or other hydration system
